Château L'Eglise Clinet 2007 75cl 94-100RP
Unquestionably the Pomerol of the vintage, the dense purple-colored 2007 l'Eglise-Clinet offers an astonishing display of rich, licorice and caramel-infused kirsch, black raspberry, and cassis fruit. Rich, full-bodied, and pure, with low acidity and ripe tannin, it is already offering delicious drinking, and should continue to do so for 15-20 years. Having just had the 1997, which is not as strong a wine as this 2007, that wine, from a very mediocre vintage, is still young. Kudos to proprietor Denis Durantou. Drink 2010-2030. |

Clos René Pomerol 2005 75cl
89 points Robert Parker: "This richly fruity, up-front Pomerol exhibits attractive coffee, smoky, black cherry, forest floor, and underbrush characteristics. Medium body, excellent richness and purity, soft tannins, and decent acidity suggest it should be consumed over the next 10-15 years |

Château L'Evangile 2007 75cl
Great concentration, yet it's harmonious and classy. The ripe fruit and toasted oak jump out of the glass. Full-bodied, with an opulent fruit, coffee and milk chocolate character. |

Château La Conseillante 2007 75cl
This big, juicy, spicy Pomerol exhibits aromas and flavors of mulberries, raspberries, violets, licorice, and a touch of herbs. Made in a medium-bodied, upfront style, this round, seductive wine should drink well for 7-10 years. Drink 2010-2020. |

Château La Conseillante 2004 75cl
"Made in an atypically structured, tight style, the deep ruby/blue-tinged 2004 offers up sweet mulberry, cassis, licorice, and roasted herb aromas as well as flavors. This medium-bodied, moderately tannic effort will benefit from 1-3 years of cellaring, and should keep for 12-15 years. It is somewhat reminiscent of the 1999." |

Château L'Evangile 2001 75cl 93/100 RP
A blend of 79% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Franc, L'Evangile's 2001 exhibits a saturated purple color as well as a sweet nose of Chinese black tea intermixed with licorice, incense, black raspberry ice cream, and creme de cassis. Medium to full-bodied, with low acidity, silky tannins, and a plump, opulent texture, the wine appears to be adding both weight and nuances. This a beauty, although it will always be overshadowed by the mammoth 2000 |
